Sirio Venice House Luxury Apartment

Breakfast was a highlight, especially the tasty chocolate croissants and the broad selection. The room was both roomy and cozy, with a comfortable bed that didn't squeak. Having two showers and two toilets in the same room was incredibly convenient. They cleaned daily and replaced the towels each day. A great place to stay.

We left feeling this was an experience we'd rather forget. After the problems during our stay, we asked for a small gesture, a one-night discount, but the hotel manager politely refused. At check-in, the young man at reception spoke very broken Italian and didn't explain how to operate the parking remote. The offer to move us to another apartment came late in the evening, when changing rooms would have meant more hassle, so we had to turn it down. The main issue came at 11 PM, when the shower had no hot water, apparently because of low boiler pressure or a fault the management hadn't noticed by the next day. Rinsing in very cold water was a real shock and inconvenience. The bidet pressure was so weak it couldn't be used at all. There were smaller signs of things not being thought through, too. The shower door wouldn't close properly, the iron was unusable without a Schuko adaptor, and the dishwasher had no detergent. The apartment itself was very spacious and recently renovated, but some details had been overlooked. I do not recommend booking here.

The bus stop is only a few metres away, and the ride into Venice takes about 15-20 minutes. Reception can sell you bus tickets, and covered parking is available as well. The neighbouring hotel handles reception and restaurant service, and the staff there were very friendly. We stayed two nights with our daughter. The apartment was clean, spacious, practical, and had all the amenities. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pleasant toiletries. Highly recommended.

Breakfast came with the stay, and there was private parking. The apartment was very quiet, with Venice's historic centre about 20 minutes away by bus.
