Ve-nice Suite Giuffa C4834

The property was lovely and close to the main tourist spots, but getting there was a frustrating start. We'd booked a water taxi through the apartment, then spent almost two hours stuck at Marco Polo airport. The property contact told us to ask for the APT desk, but the airport staff didn't know of any such desk. Ask for the company name instead, since that's what the airport desk wants. After a frustrating call with the property staff, we eventually made it to the apartment. We had to climb a few flights of stairs, which was fine for us. Barbara, who showed us in, said the fridge had broken because of a storm the previous day and the possibility of another storm during our stay. They provided a small camping fridge, which could only hold a few things and didn't keep them as cold as we'd have liked. The skies were clear throughout our stay except on the day we left Venice. The air conditioning in the main bedroom blew cool air but also sent hot air out the back, so the room stayed hot and we couldn't sleep there. We slept on the sofa bed in the sitting room instead, where the AC worked. When we raised the fridge and AC problems, we were told we'd done something to the AC and they couldn't help. We'd been told on arrival they'd try to get us a proper fridge, since there were five of us. Communication with Barbara wasn't nice or useful. Chiara, the manager, did help us by bringing a replacement kettle because the one provided didn't work, and getting us an AC on our last day. We're grateful for Chiara's help, but our stay at the Venice suite Giuffa was below average.
