We asked for a refund after a doctor confirmed the strange bites we got on the second and third nights were bed bug bites. The only offer was vouchers for 60€, which felt like a joke. On the first morning, we were covered in mosquito bites even though we hadn’t left the windows open for long. We’d also found no sheet on the blanket, and the blanket didn’t seem clean or fresh.

The apartment worked well overall, with one bathroom for 5/6 people. It’s comfortably located near the train station, and the beds have good mattresses, apart from the sofa bed, which has a very thin mattress, more like a topper. It was a little cold, with just one blanket per bed. We weren’t allowed to switch on either the heating or air conditioning.

We found it clean and everything seemed thoughtfully arranged for our 2-day stay. It’s close to the station and supermarket, and there are gondolas right outside. I did have trouble using the heater because the electricity tripped when I switched it on, so I couldn’t run many appliances at once. The air conditioner is also very old and could do with replacement. A washing machine would have been a nice addition.
