You can walk to almost anything you need or want to see from this great location. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, though a bit small. Getting there with luggage is tricky because you have to cross bridges. Breakfast could be better, and the rooms aren’t very soundproof. On our second night, there was a constant noise all night.

The front desk immediately demanded an extra €50 when I arrived, without even greeting me, because only my name was on the reservation, despite the room clearly being booked for two. I changed the guest number to two on Expedia right away, and the same room for that night was even $6 cheaper than what I’d paid. When I challenged the charge, they dropped it to €30, then €20. It felt like blackmail. I asked to see the policy for the fee, and staff spent 30 minutes searching but couldn’t find any valid policy. The employee was extremely rude and treated me in a racist, discriminatory way as an Asian traveler, apparently assuming I wouldn’t understand English or would just give in. When I asked to see the policy and said I’d never had this happen before, he told me, “this is not your country where are you coming from”. That would upset anyone and made me feel targeted. I’m glad Expedia helped cancel my reservation. Shockingly, the front desk even threatened the Expedia agent who helped me. This was a terrible experience. I strongly warn other travelers, especially Asian travelers, to avoid this hotel. Asians aren’t pushovers. Be nice to your customers, it’s common sense.

The hotel is conveniently close to the station, which was the main advantage of our three-night stay. The housekeeping was very poor: when I lifted the blanket, there were several unfamiliar hairs on the bed. For nearly 300,000 KRW a night, the amenities were disappointing too. After cleaning, staff didn’t replace basic supplies like soap or shampoo. In the August heat, the AC didn’t cool the room at all. The manager said it was centrally controlled and nothing could be done, so our nights were very uncomfortable. I also caught an insect in the room, though I couldn’t tell whether it was a bedbug or cockroach, which made me question the hotel’s hygiene. At breakfast, a white female staff member came to ask my wife for our room number while she was getting food. They hadn’t checked room numbers at the entrance for everyone, so being asked selectively at the table felt like Asian guests were being singled out. Verification may be needed, but approaching us mid-meal that way was disrespectful. Aside from the convenient location, our stay was disappointing and uncomfortable. I hope the hotel fixes these problems.

It was quiet and comfortable, and the room had everything you’d expect from a hotel. The place was modern, up to date, clean, and spacious, with a good breakfast included and plenty of amenities nearby. My only small complaint was the mattresses: they were a bit hard, and I could feel the springs shifting and popping when I moved. Still, I slept okay.
