Villa Tiziana Hotel

The receptionist was nice, but the rest of the hotel was poorly maintained. It's very old and looks much better in the photos than it does in person. Our room wasn't as clean as it should have been, and there was cigarette smoke smell throughout the hotel when you entered, though not in the rooms. Breakfast isn't served in the off season. Getting to Venice takes about an hour, with roughly 15 minutes to Lido followed by 40 minutes on the vaporetto.

The rooms were well stocked and the price was good. It's within walking distance of the Vaporetto and Alilaguna stations, and reception spoke English.

For a reasonable price, I got a decent, clean room with a double bed and private bathroom. Breakfast isn't included, but you can get it for €10. I didn't order it, since I didn't know what time I'd get up. The place is on Venice lido, and you need to take a bus for three stops. We bought the two-day pass, which included it. Easy to find.

I didn't expect much, but this turned out to be a nice place for a beach holiday. Some rooms may look a bit worn, but everything worked perfectly, from the air conditioning to the fridge. There were plenty of towels, and the room had a small safe. The beds were a little soft, and the linens were thin and very basic. Nights were quiet, and the daily cleaning was good quality. The beach takes a walk to reach, but it's still worth it.
