voco Venice Mestre - The Quid by IHG

I've stayed here three times now, and everything was great again. I work at another voco hotel, so I may be a bit biased, but I can still recommend voco Mestre without hesitation. The team were so friendly, especially Alice at reception, Enrico at breakfast, Pietro, and his young restaurant colleague. Thanks to all of you for making the stay such a pleasure. The rooms were clean, quiet, and spacious, and the modern lobby and bar felt welcoming. The gym is enough for a quick workout. It's a good spot for a stopover by car, with free parking in front of the hotel. You can also reach Venice by train with a 15-minute walk or by bus after a five-minute walk. My flight was cancelled, so I booked this hotel at the last minute. Everyone was kind and helpful, and the people at reception and in the restaurant were really friendly. The hotel was comfortable and clean. Special thanks to Lori's, who made everything easier and more enjoyable.

The bed was really comfortable, the rooms a good size, and the hotel itself very nice. Getting to Venice centre is the problem. It's a long way out, and getting there isn't easy. There's a direct bus in the morning, but on the way back you have to change and take the tram. A nice hotel, just too far away when Venice is the main reason for your trip.

My room was over 23 degrees Celsius when I arrived, which was too warm. They'd already turned off the air conditioning for the season, and early October in Italy feels too soon for that. The front desk suggested opening the window, but there's a noisy busy road outside and lots of light comes in.
