At 72€, this felt too expensive for what we got, and I can't recommend it. There's no coffee maker or even a kettle in the room, which was a disappointing surprise in Italy. The walls are paper thin, inside and out. We heard every word of our neighbors' normal conversation after midnight, and street noise from people talking and laughing near the bars and restaurants carried on well past midnight too. The room is well placed in Viterbo's historic center, with cafes, coffee bars, restaurants, and shops close by. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure, and the towels were new. Wi-Fi worked well, there were charging outlets beside the bed, and two bottles of water were provided. A small fridge is tucked into the small armoire, but it wasn't running when we arrived. We had to switch on the power bar underneath the armoire to get it going. The AC unit was very quiet and cooled the room somewhat, but even with it set to 19°C, the room still felt too warm. The airflow from the wall unit didn't seem enough for the small space. Its control panel also gave off a blue glow across the room, which made sleeping hard.

Good value and a very convenient location. The room was comfortable and cleaned every day.

We'd been coming here for years and used to like it so much that we often recommended it and left good reviews. But it kept getting worse, with a new problem on each visit. The manager explained some of them, including poor soundproofing and neighbors making a mess all night, with people coming and going from one room without anyone supervising. On another stay, friends of ours had to sleep on half a bed because its wooden slats were broken. Nobody had checked it, but the manager still charged us for the room. There were also times when the toilets didn't work. The final straw was finding the room supposedly cleaned, while we were leaving our luggage there before going to a restaurant. I noticed hair on the bed, then saw it was covered in hair that clearly wasn't ours, with fluff on the floor. The bed had been made, but the room hadn't been cleaned. When we contacted the manager, we learned they don't normally replace the duvet cover. He acted as though changing the pillowcases too was a favor. I'm speechless. I hope he comes to his senses and goes back to how he used to manage the place, or closes it rather than giving other guests bad experiences. PS: We have lots of photos.
