Agriturismo Casa All'Olmo

The view from this agriturismo is panoramic and the location is truly beautiful. The welcome bottle of wine was nice, but there wasn’t even a bottle of water, coffee, sugar, or a roll of paper towels. There was no drying rack either, so we had to put our pool towels on the chairs. For the service we got, the price was exorbitant. The management was truly terrible.

We had a lovely stay in an apartment at Casa all'Olmo in late June and early July 2019. It’s about 15 minutes from Volterra, set on a secluded hill in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. A private 1 km drive leads to the house and gives it a peaceful, quiet feel. For day trips, Siena is 1 hour and 15 minutes away, San Gimignano 45 minutes, Florence 1 hour and 30 minutes, and Pisa 1 hour. The coast is also reachable by car in an hour. Our apartment was simple but functional. The only minor issues were limited shade around the pool when several families used it and a lack of shade on the apartment terraces.

The place itself is nice, but management seemed to miss the details. Wi-Fi was advertised, yet we could only find it in one small patch of the garden, in full sun all day. There was no shade anywhere, and a few umbrellas would have helped. The kitchen didn't have enough utensils. We won't be coming back.

We had a lovely week here. The owners were lovely, the apartment had plenty of room for four, and the pool was lovely too. It’s a great location, with hiking trails through the hills to Volterra.
