Il Sogno di Annalisa

I spent four nights here in March 2022 and loved it. The location just inside the walls is great, and you can find free parking a short walk away by Hotel Villa Nencini. After 13 trips to Italy, I can honestly say this was the most comfortable bed I've slept in there.

The room is in Volterra's historic center, so the location is excellent and convenient. The building is clearly very old, and the room has been renovated, but it still has drawbacks. In my opinion, the people managing the room should rethink how they welcome guests. Leaving just two coffee pods on the breakfast shelf wasn't acceptable. The first coffee didn't turn out well, so my husband and I had to split one cup between us for breakfast. Taking care of guests should be part of the job!

The owners are attentive and always reachable on WhatsApp, even though check-in is online. We had a great suite, especially suited to couples looking for a romantic escape. It's quiet and air-conditioned, with a large, modern shower and a built-in sauna area. Recommended for a romantic weekend in wonderful Volterra.

The room was awful, small, run-down, dirty, cramped, and dark. Its window faced a storage space, the sheets were old, and there was nowhere to put our luggage. The photos made it look bigger, brighter, and nicer. It's amazing what editing can do to hide the truth. The owner posted perspective shots to make the room seem larger. When we asked to move to another room and pay the difference, we were told it was too late, even though it was only 6 p.m. The management was just as bad. In response to the owner's comment: I was traveling with another person, the one who booked the room, but we didn't stay at the property. We decided to sleep somewhere else instead.
