Drifters at One Mile - Hostel

The place is right on the beach and close to the Knutsford Terminal. Shops, restaurants, and a bar are next door, and the staff are nice. The bar has live music every other day, so it’s not the spot if you want complete quiet all the time. I’ll definitely be back.

Drifters has a mix of weeklong tourists, winter snowbirds, and locals that just works. It feels like the capital of casual. I’m usually a suspicious person who looks for adventures but prepares for the worst, yet everyone here made me feel comfortable and welcome. No stress, just good music, food, and friends you haven’t met yet. I’d been thinking about going somewhere new for my next vacation, but the vibe at Drifters is pulling me back to Negril. One LOVE.

You can wake up and take a quick swim in the sea, the location is fantastic. It’s a comfortable, safe place to relax and do everything at your own pace, especially if you want a more hands-off stay. The staff are great and can tell you what you need to know to get around and find things to do. The live music is seriously good, with very talented acts. GO HERE if you want to unwind without breaking the bank!

Remember that this is a hostel, not a hotel or resort, then expect a pleasant surprise from the great staff and treatment. It’s right in the middle of everything, and the front desk can arrange a reliable cab wherever you need to go. The shared bathrooms, showers, and kitchen are very clean. Sundays from 3-7pm get busy when Luddy from the Drifters plays all the hits on the bar stage. The bar is well staffed, so service is quick. They accept USD, and I never felt shortchanged when I got JMD back. Highly recommended.
