Amir Palace Hotel-Aqaba

I’m a woman traveling alone, and one of the hotel staff harassed me. He invited me out and asked what I wanted to drink. I politely said no, but he kept calling me repeatedly through the night, and I felt extremely unsafe. I didn’t feel respected as a guest. There are plenty of safer, better places in Aqaba for similar prices. Avoid this hotel, especially if you’re a woman.

The bedding and mattresses were filthy, and the room itself was dirty and badly kept. We arrived to find no towels or toilet paper either. A really disappointing stay, and I wouldn't recommend this place.

I only needed a basic room for one night while I was in town for work, and I contacted the property beforehand to confirm. They reassured me that the booking was fine. But when my husband and I arrived, the worker said, “yeah we cancelled your reservation.” They had my number, so I asked why nobody told me in advance so I could find somewhere else. He said they would give us the room if we paid more. Very unprofessional, with a poor attitude. I don't recommend booking here, since you could end up in the same situation. Find somewhere that respects guests and takes bookings more seriously.

One of the dirtiest places I've stayed. Everything was dusty, and the bedsheets looked used and unwashed. There wasn't any toilet paper, soap, or towel left for us. Avoid it.
