The owners made us feel welcome, and the hotel stayed quiet even during the festival. Our traditional-style room had air conditioning, and the owner took care to keep it cool in the hot summer. It’s close to the main station and city center, with separate bathrooms for men and women and a 24-hour shop nearby. A cozy place with what you need, and I’d recommend it to people visiting Akita.
I still think about that soft bed and the delicious breakfast, even after traveling elsewhere in Japan. After just one night, my lower back, which hadn’t had full range of motion, stopped hurting. The room was lovely, and I found the private women’s onsen on the third floor really calming. I loved the cypress scent from the wood lining it. The owners were so kind that they even offered me a ride to the nearby station. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m in Akita.
The family running this hotel were friendly and happy to help. We felt welcome and comfortable, and everything was clean and cozy. Highly recommended!
The meals were delicious, and the hinoki bath was lovely. A very good minshuku.
