The meals were a real highlight, beautifully put together and delicious. We booked the last room at Atami Kaihourou at the last minute, and although it was the cheapest option, it was spacious, nicely designed, and had a great view. The ocean scenery was so calming, and the staff made us feel at ease from the moment we arrived. We had a wonderful, memorable stay and would gladly come back.

The staff were attentive, though communication was quite limited for non-Japanese speakers. I’m not sure whether the resort usually has many English-speaking guests. I loved the breathtaking view, and the room felt cozy while still being sophisticated. The building is an architectural masterpiece by Kengo Kuna. The food was amazing and beautifully presented, and the onsen felt very relaxing and exclusive.

We came back for a second Kaiseki experience, and the food was delicate, with lovely plating and really nice service. If you want to try Japanese fine dining, just come here.

The service was warm and the view was beautiful. We enjoyed our time here, especially dinner, which I’d recommend. The snacks also make great souvenirs.
