A really good experience, and the owner was very friendly.

We travel to different places every holiday, and when we think back and ask which inn stands out most, this is the one that comes to mind. I almost don't want to tell people about it because I wouldn't want it to get too crowded, but we had such a lovely time that I wanted to leave a review. We stayed over New Year's. It's a small, cozy place with elegant design, very clean rooms, and a garden you can walk straight out into. The hospitality was impeccable, and even at that time of year we could really enjoy the atmosphere of the room. The inn was spotless, and there was more food than we could finish. Having cats around made it even more relaxing. He spent so long playing with them that he didn't come back to the room for quite a while, haha. I also got to enjoy the hot springs on my own, which was so satisfying. I had such a good time that leaving felt a little lonely.

The baths were a real treat after traveling. The water felt gentle, and I could soak for a long time and unwind. I think the hot springs alone make the inn worth a visit. My room was roomy and comfortable, though it was a shame there was no Wi-Fi in it. The free coffee in the lounge was nice for a break after bathing. The building is a little old, but the interior is kept in great shape and I enjoyed my stay. Service was polite and pleasant throughout. I stayed here on a trip to Fukui, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing hot spring soak.

The sesame tofu tempura they recommended was delicious, and the kind staff looked after us well during meals. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the facility had a lot of charm. It would be even better if they offered a shuttle to Awara Onsen Station.
