Not sure why this place only has 3 stars. It’s clean and comfortable, and the location is great, just a 5-minute walk from the train station. The receptionist is friendly and helpful. I’d recommend it.

The house was really warm, and the owner stayed up waiting for us to arrive in the middle of the night. We had a very nice stay. I wish we’d had more time in Chitose, but we had to leave early the next day to catch our flight home.

The house exterior is quite attractive, and the kitchen is usable. The lobby’s common areas are okay, and the bathroom was relatively clean. Still, the room had the sort of odd smell you get in old houses, and the soundproofing wasn’t great. The windows are double-glazed, but you can hear trains clanging and fast trains passing. It’s right beside the JR line, just before the station, so maybe it suits travelers who want to experience those train sounds. If you just want a good night’s sleep, that setup may not work for you. The rooms are like old-fashioned wooden houses, so move around carefully. There were no staff members around. During our stay, one person was in one room, but we didn’t know who they were and they seemed indifferent and unfriendly. You need to sort garbage properly, or you’ll get greeted with a sour face. The price isn’t cheap, and there’s a reason for that. Hope this helps.

The parking lot is about a 7-minute walk away, and it says you need to check in before going there. You can leave your luggage, turn on the air conditioner, then have the representative go to the car park. The room has WiFi, a bath, a key, and a 4.5-tatami Japanese-style layout. At 5,000 yen for the room without meals, it feels a little expensive. Still, if you only need somewhere to sleep for the night, it’s fine.
