The hospitality was great. I’m glad I stayed.

We had a really nice stay, and the staff were kind and always smiling. The food was delicious, and the clean, pleasant large public bath was a plus. I brought the kids, and they loved having manga and Othello in the common area. We stayed in a large room. The floor by the bed and the other areas looked clean, with no visible problems, but there was eraser dust and rubbish by the bay window, probably left by the previous guest. It made me wonder if the room had been properly cleaned. I also felt uneasy about cleaning up someone else’s trash and didn’t want anyone to think we’d left it there.

Oishi Park was only a five-minute walk away, and we could see Mount Fuji through the room window. The hostess made us feel very welcome. Dinner and breakfast were so generous and tasty that I could hardly believe such a small guesthouse provided them. I had a wonderful one-night stay and look forward to coming back.

Both meals were delicious and carefully prepared, with plenty of different dishes. They serve everyone at the same time, so you need to stick to the meal schedule. I arrived a little late and had to hurry, but the freshly fried food was hot and satisfying. The baths are separated by gender. There are three showers and a tub big enough for four or five people. My room was clean, though I was disappointed that the toilet didn’t have a washlet.
