After a long ride around the lakes, we stopped here for coffee. The woman who welcomed us was lovely, gave us a drink for free, and even lent us a phone charger. It’s cozy, beautifully decorated, and really clean, right down to the nice-smelling toilets. There’s a magnificent view and plenty of comfortable places to sit both inside and outside. The tea and coffee were great.

A lovely spot overlooking the water turned up during a bike ride around the lake. My girlfriend and I only stopped for lunch, but the meal was great. The log cabin feel made it warm and cozy, and the rice curry with beef was a satisfying hot meal. They had lots of other good choices too. Great prices, service, and view.

We stumbled on this place during our trip and were so glad we did. The setting is beautiful, the staff are incredibly kind, and everything we tried tasted delicious. They made us feel very welcome. The fresh pancake, cheesecake, and chocolate cake were all amazing.

We spent three nights at Sun Lake and felt welcome from the moment we arrived. After days out exploring, the food was just what we wanted. We hired bikes on both days and used them to see the lakes and mountains nearby. I can’t recommend the stay enough.

We ducked into this cafe near sunset while visiting Lake Saiko on our Kawaguchiko trip. The wind was cold, and it looked inviting from outside, with a beautiful lake view. Inside it was clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. The spaghetti was honestly really good, and the hot chocolate was great too. We also had café au lait, regular toast, cheese toast with salad, and everything tasted good and was very reasonably priced. The toast came with butter, jam, and homemade chestnut paste, which was a nice surprise. The owner was kind, spoke good English, and got our order out quickly. We had ordered karaage, but were in a hurry for the sunset and asked to cancel it. Instead, she offered us French fries for free and didn’t charge us. A lovely find if you’re around Lake Saiko.
