Fujinokura Nadaya

The layout was a bit unusual. There's one room you can close off, then another room with a door that contains a child's sleeping area that seems open, a washroom, and a separate sleeping area for adults. There's also a so-called “balcony,” which I think is a translation or wording mistake. Smokers basically stand at the building entrance. Watch your head, especially at night on the way to the restroom. I'm 5'10" and anyone taller will need to be careful around the low ledges. I hit my head about six times in three days, and no one had warned us about them. Towels were also very limited, and there was a fresh-paint smell, so the place probably needed airing out. Still, it's a nice place and could work well for couples or mixed-gender groups who don't mind sharing a room. All in all, not bad, just four stars for those three issues.

The supermarket is a long way off, but there's a convenience store within walking distance, so it wasn't a problem for us. I haven't found another place near Mt. Fuji Station with facilities this good.
