My first capsule hotel stay, and Wellbe was surprisingly luxurious. The sauna was fantastic, and I had a really relaxing weekend. The clothes they provide are very comfortable, and the food and drinks are good, inexpensive, and easy to get.

There's a TV in the pod, but you don't have to spend time in it until you're ready to sleep. You can hang out in the other areas beforehand. I'm 6 foot 2 and fit in the pod just fine, it wasn't nearly as claustrophobic as I'd imagined. It's a traditional Japanese capsule hotel, clean and convenient, with comics, an izakaya, sleeping pods, a bathing hall, and massage service all inside.

The staff were wonderful, the pub restaurant was surprisingly good, and the bath was excellent. I took off a star because I wouldn't recommend bringing large luggage: the bigger lockers get taken quickly, and even in the premium Pehmea room there isn't really any security.

For 5200 yen a night, breakfast with a decent portion was included, and the subway station was just 30 seconds away. Say less.
