Fukuoka U-Bell Hotel

The facilities are new and clean, so the place may suit someone who only needs a bed for the night. But the service left me feeling there was no hospitality, and I wouldn't count on considerate help here. I brought back cheesecake from a patisserie very close by and asked the front desk for a fork and plate to eat it in my room. They said they could only provide chopsticks. Since there's a restaurant serving breakfast, I found it hard to believe there were no forks or plates and asked again. The woman at reception repeated that the tableware was for breakfast and couldn't be lent out. She gave no reason and offered no alternative, like disposable cutlery. I ended up eating cake with chopsticks for the first time in my life, and it made the stay uncomfortable and unpleasant.

We had a comfortable four-night stay with our toddler in the barrier-free room. It was on the second floor across from the laundry room, which didn't bother us at all, and was actually convenient since we needed to do laundry. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The carpet could use a good cleaning, and it's a short walk to the Tenjin area. With the reasonable price and good-sized room, I'd definitely recommend it.

The room was clean and nice, and the staff were a great help. The AC ran a little warm, maybe because the hotel's temperature is set automatically.

Our twin single room had plenty of space, and the public areas were kept neat and clean. The staff were super friendly and held our bags before check-in. There's a laundry room on the second floor with three washers and dryers. A short walk gets you to some really nice clothing stores and lively side streets full of cool-looking bars and restaurants.
