Hakata Green Hotel No.1

Rooms are very tiny, and the area is busy, but the location is great for getting anywhere in Fukuoka. Service was above average, and the price is very competitive. Works perfectly for business or a short stay.

It's just across from Hakata station. The room is small but comfortable. No microwave on any floor, just laundry, ice and vending machines.

I stayed for two nights, April 16-18, 2025. My son became sick and had a seizure. The staff were a huge help, especially Mr. KONDO. They helped get my son into the ambulance and sent him to the hospital. I can't put into words how grateful I am to all the staff.

The bed, shower and breakfast were all lovely, and I appreciated being able to check in at 1 pm when most hotels start at 3. But my experience at the front desk left me disappointed. My suitcase had a problem and I needed to dispose of it, so I asked whether the hotel could help. They simply said no, with no advice or suggestions, and seemed to expect me to take it home and dispose of it myself. I understand there could be a language barrier, though I was speaking Japanese. It felt unusual to get such a low level of hospitality as a foreigner in Japan. The room itself was comfortable, but I was quite disappointed by the front desk.
