Hotel New Gaea Domemae

The reception team gave us some of the best service I’ve had at any hotel. They were friendly and went out of their way to sort out our problems, and the staff on the next shift already knew what was going on, so we didn’t have to explain everything again. Fugita, who was working nights, was especially helpful in getting our luggage back to Tokyo. He was friendly and did all he could. The hotel itself was clean and modern, near a train station and family mart. The rooms were well kept, and the modern bathrooms had plenty of room to shower and dry off. This was one of my best stays in Japan.

We’re staying for 2 nights, and the staff are so kind. They let us leave our luggage before check-in. Loved the welcome sparking wine, and relaxing in the in-room onsen-jacuzzi. Really recommend!

I was only given a smoking room even though I’d reserved a non-smoking one. There’s no car park available, even when spaces are empty, and the toilet paper is very low quality. The water boiling machine was out of order too.

The stay was unpleasant, and there wasn’t anything special about the hotel. The lounge is supposedly for guests, but when we brought in food we’d bought, an employee told us to leave in a harsh manner. Yet when you buy their breakfast bento, you’re allowed to eat it there. What kind of logic is that? There were no restaurants nearby, just convenience stores.
