Business Hotel Cosmo Inn

The room was very clean, and I’d stay here again when going to Ecopa. The building is showing its age, though the unit bathroom seemed renovated and was clean. There are quite a few steps, so be careful. Being close to the station and within walking distance of Ecopa Arena made this a convenient choice for a concert. I arrived before check-in and asked about leaving my luggage, but my room was ready, so they let me in early. That was incredibly helpful. I’d read that the slippers weren’t disposable, the shampoo was 2-in-1, the only amenity was a toothbrush, and there was no tabletop mirror. I brought my own mirror, so that was no problem. The Shinkansen is quite loud, though, and anyone sensitive to noise should bring earplugs.

I booked for a live concert at Ecopa, and breakfast was included. There aren’t many places to have dinner nearby, and when there’s a concert the convenience store next door gets extremely crowded.

I had to add a night to my trip unexpectedly and booked here at short notice. JR Aino Station is right across from the hotel, with a supermarket and convenience store nearby, plus free parking. The Tokaido Shinkansen can be heard late into the night, but it didn’t bother me. It’s in a residential area, so there are no family restaurants around. Still, getting to Hamamatsu Station takes about 20 minutes by train and Kakegawa Station about 5 minutes, with trains running until around midnight, so it was manageable. The rooms have the feel of an older business hotel, though card keys and other things may be gradually changing. As other reviews have said, the large public bath doesn’t seem to offer much. The free breakfast, on the other hand, was quite substantial and satisfying.

The room was clean, and both the toilet and bathtub had been cleaned thoroughly. The toilet flush is slow, so you have to hold the lever down for a while. The large public bath was closed, which was disappointing, but breakfast was as tasty as people had said. I also liked seeing the Shinkansen go by. The hotel was easy to find, though locating the parking entrance was tricky, and I had trouble getting through by phone. I’ll definitely stay again.
