I’m pretty fed up with renting from H2. They’ve always seemed badly managed to me. When we’ve made requests or given directions, we’ve often had to repeat ourselves several times just to get the original request handled. The replies then tend to be defensive and make us feel as if we’re being blamed. Cleanliness has been inconsistent too. At their Niseko rental, we found hair on the pillows and boogers on the bed frames and duvets. We decided to give them another chance at this property. It was acceptably clean, but the service raised the same concerns. We booked six days and asked for one towel change, but were told we’d have to pay extra. There was no light cleaning during the stay either, so bear that in mind. Update (3/7/25): After a week here, I’d advise against renting this place. We booked late when the surrounding properties were full, and wondered why this one was still available. Now we know. It looked beautiful from the outside, but the hot water had to be rationed. On our first day, the water went ice cold while we were showering. After four showers, expect cold water, and don’t try to fill the tub, because even a quarter of it uses up the hot water. It took over an hour to heat again. The walls are so thin we could hear conversations and footsteps from across the house, so there wasn’t much privacy. There were no hooks on the walls or in the bathrooms, and very little surface space to put things. The flimsy ski rack was meant for skis, not snowboards. Our boards fell over repeatedly and got more damage than from riding on the mountain. The pillows were lumpy, and quite a few had the same problem. I think this is my last season renting from H2, which is a shame since they manage so many properties. We were told the owners had just handed the apartment over to H2 to manage. It was a terrible stay.
