Conne Hotel

There’s a Lawson very close by, though a full parking lot means you have to use a more distant one, which is inconvenient with a lot of luggage. My room had a shower but no tub; there is a communal bath, which isn’t very big, but I could relax there because there weren’t many guests. The sauna was less impressive than I expected: it fits only two people, was at 85 degrees, and has no 12-minute clock or TV. There’s no cold bath or massage area either. They could use the wasted space for a massage chair. My room key stopped working, and even after going to the front desk and trying again, it still wouldn’t scan. I was frustrated by the door trouble, but the staff handled it well.

The staff were attentive and lovely, and breakfast was delicious. There were plenty of power outlets, which I appreciated, and the large public bath was nice, though the changing room smelled of sewage. My room was clean, but the TV reception was so bad I couldn’t watch it. The doors and floors creaked, and the broken bidet was a nuisance.

The public bath was nice, and the location worked well with restaurants nearby. Everything else looked clean, so I was disappointed to find the air purifier incredibly dusty.

This is a nice business hotel with a very urban feel, and the staff were exceptionally polite. I was comfortable during my stay. I’d been looking for somewhere on Fukue Island with a large public bath, and was glad to find this one. I added breakfast and had a Japanese set meal at the restaurant diagonally across from the hotel.
