A lovely old building, restored as a stylish boutique hotel. It’s really pretty.

Such an incredible little boutique hotel.

I loved the thoughtful details, including the amenities, and felt comfortable throughout my stay. The hotel’s interior and facilities are modern and comfortable while still keeping the atmosphere of the Taisho era. The careful renovation of this historic building makes it a special place in Hakodate, and the whole space has a real sense of style. If you want to take in Hakodate’s streets and atmosphere, I’d absolutely recommend it. The hotel itself feels like part of the trip, and I’ll definitely stay here again.

I live in Hakodate, but staying here let me see the city’s charm in a new way. It’s easy to get to the Red Brick Warehouses and Motomachi, and the hotel offers a welcome break from everyday life for locals and visitors alike. The building’s original structure is still present throughout, giving the rooms their own character and a sense of Hakodate’s history and streetscape. Even the window view made it feel like I was really staying in Hakodate, rather than just passing through. The art and decor suit the retro building beautifully, and the stylish rooms made me want to take pictures. The amenities were great too. I was glad to find lotion and even a hair iron, which I imagine many women would appreciate.
