Hakone Villa Byzan - Vacation STAY 39767v

Suzuki was incredibly kind when we arrived. We spent two nights here, with delicious, filling breakfasts and a fabulous meal in the restaurant. Our room was spacious and peaceful, and it made a great base for exploring Hakone. The location by the lake is beautiful, and a shout-out to Suzuki's little cat too!

The balcony was a lovely place to spend the afternoon reading with coffee, which we could make ourselves in the room. We had a nice view across the lake, and the beds were comfortable. The apartment was clean, with cozy design and cool furniture. Staff were super friendly, though they didn’t speak much English. The cafe and restaurant were nicely furnished too. Breakfast was delicious, but we couldn’t choose what we got. It was brought out as a plate, and as a vegetarian I wouldn’t eat the sausage and bacon.

We had both the American and Japanese breakfasts, and enjoyed them. The set course dinner was delicious and such good value, one of the best meals I’ve had on this trip. I’d recommend eating here at least once. The staff were amazing, warm and friendly, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. My wife and I stayed two nights in the “Annette” twin room with lake view. It was clean, spacious and so comfortable, with a cozy wood cabin feel. The view was breathtaking, right in front of Lake Ashi with Hakone Shrine in sight. Thank you Suzuki!!
