Keimichi Guest House

There’s a spacious kitchen and shared living area, and a bulletin board packed with useful details, from bus stops and maps to food delivery services. I stayed two nights in a capsule room, which was clean and in good order. A strong budget option in Hakuba.

The owner replied quickly and was able to help us that evening. The house is pleasant, with a large private room and a nice, roomy kitchen, though the kitchen could use a deep clean since it was a bit dirty. Good value and a nice base for enjoying Hakuba.

The bed was really comfortable, and I slept well. The kitchen is good, the coffee is good, and the atmosphere is quiet and pleasant. The owner is very nice, and it feels like good value. I’d like to stay again. The upstairs private room is awkward if you have big bags because you need to carry them up the stairs. You can also hear people talking in the next room, since the room isn’t soundproof. Still, it was okay overall and worth it.

We were within easy walking distance of echoland and its many places to eat, and there’s a bus stop just outside for getting to the ski resorts. Our room was lovely, with an upstairs loft and beanbags where we played cards each night during our four-night midweek stay. There’s a fully equipped kitchen for evenings when you don’t want to buy dinner, plus a nice common area. We’d happily come back.
