I could have relaxed for days in my room's own onsen, reading a book and taking in the stunning view. The room and scenery were beautiful, and the spa services were deeply relaxing. It's a great resort on the Izu peninsula for a few days of rest. At the Japanese restaurant (coastline), I had a great Kaiseki and Shabu Shabu. I didn't try the western restaurant. A few staff members speak English, but that shouldn't stop you from visiting if they don't. A shuttle bus goes to the nearby town. Beyond the beach, a small alligator zoo, and a few nice izakaya, there's not a lot to see or do there.

A quiet spot on a mountain, and it was well-maintained and felt new. It had opened only 4 years earlier. Well worth the experience!
