U Community Hotel

It’s an older hotel, though clean and tidy. For a similar price, the room is much more spacious than at other hotels in Japan, and the bathroom is large too, with a bathtub for a soak. The nearest train station is just a five-minute walk away.

Breakfast was the highlight for me, with a big selection of delicious Japanese dishes. The room was good overall, and although I had to book a smoking room, the staff kindly lent us Febreeze spray. The hotel is very close to the station and two convenience stores. Staff speak some English, though less than at other hotels, so come prepared with a little polite Japanese and a phrasebook or translation app.

The room isn’t large, but it was enough for two, with a clean bathroom and all the amenities. Parking is available, though expensive. The location is great, close to the station with easy access to central Osaka, and there are lots of restaurants and a supermarket nearby.

There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and the station is very close. Service was great and the rooms were comfortable. I also liked getting a free bottle of water each day.
