Hirado Yokota

For our first visit to Hirado, we stayed here as a family of three for our wedding anniversary, and it was so comfortable that we'd love to come back. The staff were very kind and left a great impression. The spacious room, big projector, and aromatherapy made it a relaxing stay. There was also an outdoor bath where we could enjoy the view, and the futons had such comfortable mattresses that we slept really well. The bathroom had a fun range of shampoos, conditioners, and other amenities to choose from. We planned to use the lovely garage for a BBQ, but our child got fussy, so we cooked in the kitchen instead. It was fully equipped, as long as you bring your own ingredients and seasonings. We stayed with two families, and the impressive whole house was clean and more than spacious enough. It's hard to get a reservation, but we'll definitely come back. The detached BBQ garage is fantastic, with a huge imported grill, a refrigerator, and paper plates. Just remember to bring your own charcoal and grill. Towels, toothbrushes, and everything else were provided, including a washlet, kitchen utensils, a fridge, an air conditioner, and a kettle. I was amazed that the projector let us watch Netflix. You can set off fireworks while looking up at the night sky, and the semi-open-air bath in the detached building is great, too.

The owner's hospitality was clear throughout our stay, and the relaxing space made us want to return when we visit Hirado again. Our family of four arrived thirsty, so the mineral water was much appreciated. The room was roomy and a good place to unwind, with a giant screen for unlimited movies, lots of bath amenities, aromatherapy, and air purifiers. It was cloudy, so we couldn't see the stars from the outdoor bath, but we did watch fireflies glow while soaking. We got up early to walk around the neighborhood. The air was fresh and the sea was beautiful. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Renting the whole building gives you a private place to unwind, with little contact with other people. Staying here is an experience in itself, especially if you've never lived in a country house, though I may be biased. There are plenty of amenities, including unlimited movies on a giant screen, bath products, and aromatherapy. The BBQ garage costs extra, but the basic gear is provided, so you just need charcoal and ingredients. The kitchen is well equipped if you'd rather cook indoors. Meals aren't included, so you'll need to eat out if you don't want to cook. There don't seem to be any places nearby, so you'd need a car for that.
