The town's hotels felt outdated and pricey, food was hard to find, and there's no train station. Hirosaki Park is a 20-25 minute walk away. I regretted staying in town and would recommend visiting Hirosaki on a day trip during Sakura Blossom instead. I paid around 90K yen per night in the last days of the Sakura Blossom festival, which was a lot for an outdated, two-star-feeling interior. It was kept clean and in good condition by Japanese hotel standards, though. The free breakfast may have been included in the rate, but I skipped it because I was working late, and it ends at 8.30am/9am, far too early. The pillow was ridiculously tiny and flat, like one for a baby. For tap water you have to mix the cold and hot taps yourself, then use a third knob to switch over to the shower. Very old-fashioned and inconvenient.

We had a company party in the banquet room on the 2nd floor. It was nicely decorated, and the staff were professional and courteous. I'd recommend it.

They moved us to another room without any fuss when we asked for one that didn't smell of cigarette smoke. Nice hotel. I'm writing this on 24nd of April, and the Sakura bloom is nearly over, so coming to Hirosaki this year might not be worth it anymore. The park is a 15 min walk away.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and breakfast was tasty. I also liked having a coffee machine by reception. On a Club Tourism tour, I left my smartphone on the table by the lobby sofa while rushing out to catch the bus. The guide called back for me and staff found it, but since I was on a tour they couldn't call me directly. They sent it to my home the next day cash on delivery. It was packed with such care that I was really impressed.

I stayed here for the first time during the Hirosaki Neputa Festival. The whole place felt clean, and my room was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with some dishes made from local ingredients, a nice way to start the day. The amenities covered what I needed, and I appreciated the little touches. Parking was spacious and easy to get in and out of, and I think the hotel works well as a base for sightseeing. I'd stay again if I get the chance.
