Pension Agi

The hosts were wonderful, and breakfast was the highlight of our stay, freshly prepared and delicious. We spent a snowy week at Pension Agi, where everything was clean, quiet, and peaceful. They were so helpful that one of them even drove us and our luggage to the station. We’d definitely recommend staying here! ❄️🌞

We spent six nights here while snowboarding every day. The home-cooked breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the place itself was cute, homey, and kept tidy. The hosts were very accommodating, and we had a great stay. Getting around Hakuba was the hard part. The nearby bus stop was convenient, but the buses were extremely unreliable: although they’re meant to run every 15 minutes, we sometimes waited more than an hour, and twice it was close to two hours to get to the slopes or back. Hakuba isn’t walkable, so renting a car would save a lot of time and hassle. Taxis are available, but they don’t seem to have much time for people who don’t speak Japanese. I speak Japanese fluently, so booking one was easy for me; if you don’t, I’d ask someone who speaks it to call, or rent a car.

The owner was so nice, and breakfast was delicious on the couple of mornings we had it. We stayed five days for a snow trip and loved how comfortable and homey the place felt. It’s close to the resort shuttle, rental shops, and restaurants. Highly recommend, 11/10 👌🏽

Our room was cozy and had everything we needed. The owner was kind and friendly, and really went out of their way to look after us. Hakuba base camp, with its free buses, is just a quick walk away, as are plenty of restaurants and a convenience store. A lovely place to stay.
