The receptionist was really welcoming, and the rooms were quiet. I paid 2,000 yen a night for two nights, which felt like good value, and the facilities were nice. The Atomic Bomb Dome is about a 10-minute walk away, and the streetcar stop is roughly five minutes on foot.

The bathrooms and showers were clean and never seemed to be occupied, and my roommates were quiet and considerate. The staff and volunteers were friendly, relaxed people. The hostel has a cute, peaceful feel, with a nicely done interior and a bit of a hipster coffee shop vibe. I slept comfortably. I only wish the kitchen were bigger or fully equipped. It's an easy walk to the Atomic Bomb Done and Peace Park, and there are more decent restaurants nearby than I expected for such a quiet spot.

We ended up with two bookings and were refused a refund, even after asking several times for the receptionist's promise to be honored. We had accidentally booked beds in the female dormitory, and when we arrived, the receptionist said we couldn't stay there and offered another hostel across the city. We asked whether cancelling our original booking would be free, and she clearly said it would be. We relied on that and booked other accommodation. Now we're being told we'll still be charged, which feels unfair. If we'd known, we would have stayed at the alternative hostel she suggested. Thanks a lot.

A good budget place, with clean showers and free WiFi that's fast and has a strong signal. The staff were kind, and gave thorough help and instructions for things to do during the stay. There's a mini bar, and many city center attractions are close by. I'd recommend it.
