Hotel Mystays Hiroshima Peace Park

The location is amazing and the view is incredible, but the room let the stay down. On the first night, the sheets and doona smelled really bad, old and mouldy. I asked for fresh bedding the next day, and the staff responded quickly and apologized, but the smell didn't improve. We eventually got an air freshener, and opening the window gave us some relief. It was very affordable, so maybe we just got unlucky.

We only stayed one night, but the location made it easy to visit Hiroshima Memorial Peace Park and museum, and the ferry for Miyajima was a short walk away. Miyajima is an amazing spot in its own right. There are plenty of good places to eat just around the corner. Our room was clean and tidy, spacious compared with our place in Tokyo, and had a lovely view at night. The staff were friendly and helpful. They let us leave our luggage before check-in and after checkout, which gave us time to explore before our train out of Hiroshima. I'd stay again and recommend it.

We got a spectacular view north along the river toward the 'Peace Park' from our room on the 13th floor. It was nice that the window opened for fresh air. The hotel is dated, but very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We stayed three nights and found the location fantastic, with good places to eat nearby and Hondori Shopping precinct close by. The price was excellent for an inner-city hotel. Breakfast was good, though the area got congested at busy times and the coffee machine could be in a more accessible spot. The two lifts also got crowded, especially around breakfast, and there was no option to take the stairs.

The location was impeccable, and the rooms were comfortable, with useful facilities and kind staff. On the 6th floor there are a microwave and several laundry machines: three washer-dryers, a separate washer, and a separate dryer. Their prices are very reasonable.
