Hotel Promote Hiroshima

The bugs weren't what bothered me most. I saw cockroaches in my room and on the stairs, but I wasn't angry about them. I felt bad squashing the one in my room, so I caught it and released it back into the room when I checked out. I left the one on the shared stairs alone. With all that mess lying around, it's no surprise the place is a cockroach paradise. The bigger problem was the customer service, which was worse than the bugs. Each time I went to the front desk, the lady with glasses kept me waiting forever, and when she finally came, she was cold and unhelpful.

Friendly staff and service, and a modern hotel at a great price. It’s well placed for Peace Park and the No2 Tram if you’re heading to Miyajima.

The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean. I liked the area too, quieter but still close to streetcar stops and major attractions, which gave us both convenience and a calmer setting. The thing that cost it a star is the Google listing as a 4 star hotel. To me it’s more like mid to upper 3 star, with basic amenities, sheets, and decor that don’t really bring it up to four. I’d stay again for the comfort, location, and cleanliness, but only if the price compared better with other hotels.

We had a fantastic stay when my family came to visit from the UK. The rooms were large and clean, and since there were so many of us, the staff upgraded our rooms and kept us together. The person at the desk was incredibly helpful and suggested a great restaurant when we asked. Excellent service and staff. I’ll recommend it to anyone we know staying in Hiroshima.
