We booked a night here alongside our usual hotel because we wanted to experience a traditional ryokan while visiting Japan. It turned out better than we expected. The house is very old, and you can really sense its history. If you'd like a glimpse of what life was like a hundred years ago, I'd say a night here is worth experiencing. The toilet is modern, so no worries there.
There are plenty of good okonomiyaki places nearby, though bars and convenience stores take a bit more of a walk. Getting around is easy, with Hiroshima Station not far away. I enjoyed seeing what a traditional Japanese house is like. At night, though, going to the bathroom or showering in the dark felt a little scary, like a ghost might show up.
I left feeling relaxed after a lovely stay in this atmospheric inn. The location was great, and having a cafe downstairs was a nice bonus.
