Pension Field

Seeing Mount Fuji from my window was a dream, the view was priceless. I loved the hot tub and slept so well in my traditional room with Tatami mats. The countryside felt like walking through a studio Ghibli movie, and there were a few great little restaurants nearby. As a westerner, the shower was outside my comfort zone, but that’s part of why I travel, and it turned out to be a great experience. The owner was incredibly friendly and showed me wonderful Japanese hospitality. Breakfast was lovely too. Thank you for everything, you have a beautiful place.

This B&B has a nice feel, set in a family neighborhood. It’s out of the way, so you need a car to get there, and they have all the amenities. Breakfast was excellent, with everything homemade. They weren’t serving dinner that night. I arrived by bicycle, so I had a way to get around.

A magical place and area, with great hospitality. There are two baths shared with a guest, which felt almost like having a private onsen. The owner, konsuke? Sorry, I’ve forgotten your name, was so welcoming. The hand-prepared breakfast was amazing too.

The rooms were clean, spacious and had air conditioning, and the breakfasts were really good. There’s also a traditional Japanese bath. Most of all, the owner Koske is an amazing person. The dining room has a guitar and piano. Such a great place, I’d recommend it.
