Hotel Wasabi

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I heard it was a villa, but the room was amazingly clean and I was really pleased with my stay. I’d definitely come back, and I’d like to try the Gen Sushi restaurant in the hotel next time.

The breakfast set was a good size and nicely balanced. Drinks, rice, and miso soup were self-serve, and it came with chawanmushi from the sushi restaurant [Gensushi]. It had a light, fluffy texture and tasted great. I was glad to have [Gensushi] right at the hotel, too. I stayed during the 2024 GW holiday, and the room had plenty of space to open my suitcase. The desk was large enough to eat at while using my laptop, and the entry area stayed roomy even with shoes off. The room was on the first and second floors, with stairs as the only way up. The freestanding TV let me connect my FireTV easily, and there were outlets close by. Wi-Fi was the only internet option, but the hallway routers gave a good signal and fast enough speeds for Full HD videos and reading articles. In the room, there was Febreze, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and an air purifier. The ice-filled area also had a coin laundry and ice maker, which I appreciated for chilling drinks. Other supplies included coffee, tea, toothbrushes, hair bands, and body towels. There was plenty provided, and I had a comfortable stay. I’d stay again if I had the chance.

It had been several years since my last visit, and the hotel and room were still just as clean. There aren’t many rooms, but the breakfast was delicious. I’ll stay here again the next time I’m in town for business.

Noise made it impossible for me to sleep at night. I could hear everything through the very thin walls, both from the next room and from the hallway. There was also an ashtray by the entrance, with a strong cigarette smell. I won’t stay here again and can’t recommend it. I’m surprised the ratings are so high.
