A handy budget hotel near the train station, with plenty of parking and bakeries, restaurants, grocery stores, and cafés close by. The rooms are small but practical, and mine was very clean, with a comfortable bed and pillow. The bathroom is quite large compared with the bedroom. Breakfast is worth adding when you book, and runs from 6:30 to 8:30. The staff are kind and accommodating, the Wi-Fi works reliably, and there are separate men's and women's onsen. Laundry is on the first floor of the building. It has what you'd want from a budget hotel.

I've stayed here three times for a week each, and I'm always glad to come back. My room can be small and a little noisy, depending on which one I get, but the onsen is lovely, hot, and always clean. There's not much English, though the staff are very sweet and helpful. Breakfast may be a little adventurous for Western tastes, but I think that makes it part of the experience and adds to the authenticity.

I know it's hard to find a reasonably priced room in Japan during Golden Week. Still, ¥16,000 for a small double with no window and no yukata didn't feel fair, especially since that differed from the information when I booked. I appreciated the hotel staff canceling it for us and arranging a refund.

The room was spotless, and the staff were good. It's very close to the JR station, with a supermarket and places to eat nearby. I had a lovely stay and would recommend it if you're passing through.

No shoes are allowed anywhere on the property, so if that doesn't suit you, go to a different hotel. The bath was nice, the room clean, staff friendly, and location good.
