Hotel Christmas

I’ve stayed here many times and love this hotel, so I’m still hoping this can be sorted out because I plan to come back. Please inspect room 310. Last time, the bed looked clean, but once I lay down I started itching and noticed sand on it. Lifting the sheets was shocking: there was hair and underhair, plus stains. On the other side and under the bed, I found used condoms, tissues, and more hair. It made me think the room hadn’t been cleaned. The beds also look very old. I was unhappy and shocked.

I was traveling in Gifu and stayed here. The room was reasonably clean, though a small stain on the mattress cover was a real drawback. The bath’s blower and bubbles were broken, so neither worked, which was disappointing. Breakfast is free. I paid using a discount ticket, but the stay still seemed a little expensive overall. With prices being so high these days, I suppose it’s about what you’d expect.

I’d stayed in a few other rooms before, and they felt like ordinary love hotels. This time I booked the best room with an open-air bath. A cockroach came out from behind the toilet at night. I got rid of it and figured these things can happen, then went to bed. But the next day I found two more by the sink and checked out right away. Maybe it had something to do with the open-air bath? I’m never going back.

I picked this place because it cost less than a business hotel, but even the 600 yen coffee float was disappointing. There was so little coffee I wondered if someone had already drunk it, or if the ice cream had melted. The refrigerator barely cooled anything, more like it was meant for hot drinks. The air conditioner seemed to date from the Showa era. Its remote only handled power and temperature, and the fan kept blasting at full speed. The wind noise was so bad I couldn’t hear the TV.
