It’s handy having the laundrette downstairs, and the apartment’s close to the city, supermarkets, pier, cafes, and airport. The view and room size were lovely too. A few things could be better, though: the receptionist could be more welcoming, and an apartment dehumidifier would help with the seafront humidity. The cleaning needs more care. We found greenish-brown residue, presumably left by a previous tenant, smeared on the bedroom wall and near the toilet sink by the washing machine and shower. And a note for tenants: please respect the property and keep up basic hygiene. It’s shared space, not your personal home.

It was great having so much room, which is hard to find in Japan, and the balcony was big enough to dry laundry easily. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, though, and the sofa seemed small for an apartment this size. There weren’t many convenience stores or supermarkets close by either.

The apartment was extremely clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s just outside town, with a lovely view from the balcony. There’s a washing machine in the apartment, but no dryer. The laundromat downstairs has huge dryers, and it only costs 300 yen to dry a load. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it.

The spacious rooms and modern finishes made the place comfortable to come back to after exploring. It was spotless and well placed for restaurants, the farmers market, port, city centre, and especially for catching the ferry to nearby islands. But check-in after 6 PM isn’t allowed, and we only found that out in a message on arrival day. We had to find somewhere else at the last minute and pay for the full stay there, even though we missed its first night. The staff can only communicate in Japanese, too.
