I’m enjoying my stay! The cabins give you a really nice amount of personal space, and the amenities are great. More windows for fresh air would be awesome, but they make a big effort to keep the place ventilated, so it’s all good.

Being around other travelers is a big part of the fun here. The rooms are close together, so it can get loud, but that lively, outgoing feel is what makes the hostel enjoyable. Hive Hostel seems especially suited to solo travelers hoping to meet great people while discovering somewhere new. Be friendly with the staff and they’ll help make your stay fantastic.

The rooftop is huge and has yoga mats, which was a lovely surprise. My pod also had plenty of room and privacy, and I slept well with earplugs since there was some noise around. The hostel was clean, welcoming, and easy to feel at home in. Staff were so friendly and full of useful tips, and the location made it easy to walk to what I needed. I had a great stay at Hive Ishigaki and would happily come back.

The staff were really welcoming, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. My cabin was a good size and had a fan, which was much appreciated in Ishigaki's heat.

The staff are welcoming and give travelers plenty of useful information. In the shared backpacker room, everyone still gets their own private space. A nice place for solo travelers, and a good chance to meet some new people.
