Nakadaki Art Village

We were a mixed group of Japanese people and foreigners, so communication wasn't a problem. The issue was the extra charge: after 10 people, we were billed an additional 10,000 per person. We booked through Airbnb, and the listing said the price covered up to 16 people. They say the wording is hard to understand, but that charge just isn't written there. It feels like a scam. Be careful about extra costs if you rent Nakadaki Studio House.

Nakadaki is awesome. It was doing this organic, Airbnb glamping thing long before those words were even around, and modern projects are trying to copy that original model.

The bathtub was so relaxing, and the place itself was beautiful. We had an amazing stay. Thank you so much.

The room I slept in was nice, and that was one plus. My friends said their room smelled, though. The setting and atmosphere might get 3.5 stars from me, but the facilities and service were among the worst I've experienced, especially for the amount of money they charge. We rented five cabanas for 17 people, yet there was just one toilet and shower. The toilet area was fairly spacious, but the bathing area was poorly maintained. There were cobwebs in the kitchen sinks, and I don't think the place was being cleaned properly. Only one small fridge in the kitchen worked, so be careful about what you bring. Around 10, staff asked us to go inside our rooms and keep quiet, while we could hear loud music from other guests. Make sure to discuss extra payments when you register. Don't come with high or even average expectations, or you'll be disappointed 🙁
