Izu House Luxury Log with Cozy Fireplace

We stayed in the fall for a BBQ with our small children. The roomy log cabin had plenty of toys and felt really cozy, and there was a big garden next door with a swing where the kids had fun. It was cold outside, but the wood stove kept the house warm enough for light clothes. In the evening we grilled on the wooden deck, and the owner provided everything, including the grill, table, and chairs, which we really appreciated. Izu Granpal Park is about a five-minute drive away and has lots for kids to enjoy. We’d definitely like to come back as a family.

The kids had lots of toys to play with, and my daughter was so happy to BBQ with her friends in the evening. I came with my two daughters and a friend's family, and even though it was a little chilly in Izu, the fireplace kept the log cabin nice and warm. Having a kitchen and bathroom made the place feel like an extension of home, which was relaxing. It’s close to Izu Kogen Station, with restaurants nearby serving delicious seafood. One night and two days wasn’t enough to enjoy everything. There’s Wi-Fi too, so I’d like to return for a workation.

The indoor and outdoor barbecue options were great, and we had one in our room. Outside, the crisp air and starry sky were beautiful. We came with our child, who was very happy with how clean and well maintained the bedroom and living room were. It felt like a place the whole family could enjoy, and we wished we’d stayed longer.

The host was thoughtful and treated us so well that we came away with wonderful summer memories. For a family trip, the log cabin was really comfortable, with everything you need, fast internet, and a great setup for a workation. There are swings and other playground equipment outside to keep the kids busy, and beaches and pools are nearby if you want to go a little farther. I highly recommend Izu House for a stay or a workation.
