We had the two private onsens all to ourselves. With the large window open, the smell of nature filled the bath, and soaking in the warm mineral-rich water while looking at the surrounding forest was wonderful. The building was well kept, though it had a “grandparents’ house” feel. I also loved the mini-library, with interesting books you can borrow. The food was good but could be better. My dinner beef was a bit dry. All the staff were polite and friendly. My highlight was the all-inclusive drinks, including alcohol, and the private karaoke. There are two private karaoke rooms with the latest songs and equipment. We sang for three hours straight after dinner, with drinks and a tasty midnight snack for free. The main drawback was the location. It’s a 20-minute drive from Ito station, and we took a cab that cost about 4,000 yen. They gave 2,000 yen back if you showed the receipt. There’s one shuttle to the station at 12pm. They also gave me Thann body butter worth 4,000 yen, so it wasn’t too bad. No English available here.

The thoughtful little touches stood out to us. The staff left out ingredients we don't like and even arranged the food carefully for our left-handed guest. We stayed in the Platinum Suite, where three bedrooms, karaoke, drinks you could help yourself to, and an indoor bath kept the whole family happy and relaxed. The kids called it the best stay they've ever had, and we're already thinking about a return trip.

We'd be happy to come back. The resort sits in a quiet forest, and the staff were attentive throughout. The private bath was relaxing, the room had everything we needed, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with carefully chosen ingredients.

The homemade ice cream in the lounge was my favorite part of the food, even better than the meals. There were little cups of milk, strawberry, and caramel, and we tried all three. Häagen-Dazs was also available at certain times, so we had some of that too. My parents and I came for one night in January 2014. We arrived at 2:45 PM, fifteen minutes before the 3:00 PM check-in, and weren't sure what to do. Assistant manager Mr. W told us it was fine to come in, and the check-in instructions were very thorough. Our room was a maisonette with the bed upstairs. It had the feel of a tucked-away little hut, which was fun. There were two private baths, one for three people and another for six. I used them at different times in the evening and morning. The larger bath had around four kinds of shampoo and conditioner, so choosing one was part of the fun. Dinner and breakfast were all tasty, and there were plenty of drinks. Breakfast portions were a little too big for me to finish. Assistant manager W and the rest of the staff were kind, and gave us a fun, memorable stay. I'd like to visit in another season.

We could unwind at the end of the year thanks to how kind everyone was, from check-in right through checkout. Our platinum suite had an indoor hot spring bath, and we had the whole floor to ourselves. The room's karaoke made my daughters especially happy, and we enjoyed the food too. Thank you very much.
