Jikukan Mukae

We stayed one night as a family of three. The location is excellent for exploring the Izumo area: Inasa Beach is right across the road, and the weather was good enough for us to watch a beautiful sunset over the sea together. We also went to Izumo Taisha Shrine and had dinner at a restaurant a short drive away. It's compact but very comfortable, with great facilities. The spacious front garden can fit several cars. The old house keeps its Japanese look while adding stylish Western features like a toilet, jacuzzi, and mist sauna. It was a bit chilly out, but the two gas fan heaters and air conditioning kept it comfortable inside. The Wi-Fi and projector were fun for the kids.

Looking out at the sea from the terrace was my favorite part. You can relax there, enjoy an open-air soak in the jacuzzi on the wooden deck, and see the stars once it's fully dark. There's also an indoor unit bath. I had a great stay in this Airbnb, in a room about 8 tatami mats wide, with one tatami room, a well-equipped kitchen, and a washer and dryer. Restaurants nearby deliver, so ordering ramen, yakisoba, or katsudon and eating on the terrace is a nice option. Stock up on drinks and essentials first, since there aren't convenience stores nearby. Izumo Taisha Shrine is under a 10-minute walk away, and bicycles are available for exploring Kitsuki. Inasa Beach is also a five-minute walk.

There was dust in the room and hair in the bathroom and on the futons. We were charged over 6,000 yen for cleaning for four people, yet the futon sheets didn't seem to have been changed either. That was really unpleasant. It's a shame, because the location and room itself were so nice, but the cleaning had been completely neglected. For over 40,000 yen for four people, it wasn't worth it. After seeing how dirty it was, I won't stay there again…

Curly hairs were scattered around the bathroom faucet and all over the place. It seemed like our messages hadn't even been properly read, which left me feeling hurt by the lack of sincerity.
