The staff were polite and helpful, but the building is old and the rooms and hallways are dim. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who dislikes that kind of atmosphere. The internal phone's ringtone was so awful it almost sounded cursed. Maybe I just got a bad room, but I hope they improve it.

The room was spacious and comfortable, though a little dark. The air conditioning seemed weak and we felt a bit cold, but a warm blanket and small electric heater helped us stay comfortable. Breakfast was small, but a healthy amount. Since it wasn't a buffet, I could eat at my own pace without feeling rushed. It was cleaner, quicker, and more relaxed that way. The hotel was quiet, had a lovely view, and the large parking lot was easy to park in. Two cute, friendly women at the front desk were very helpful. The beautiful staff member was kind and helpful too. Kagamiishi Town is a small, beautiful place, and I wish I'd had more time to explore. I also used the convenience store in Kagamiishi Parking from outside the highway for the first time, and thought it was handy for people living in Kagamiishi Town. This is a very nice hotel.

The family who seemed to run the hotel, perhaps the mother, were very kind and helped me get a good rest. They even gave me a free cup of ramen. The rooms and interiors have a cute retro feel. It is an older hotel, but in a good way. I was here for work, and there aren't many hotels nearby. If I'm in the area again, I'd like to stay here.

The old-fashioned interior really appealed to me, and with no other guests around, it was a very peaceful night. I stayed here the night before my driver's license training camp because the meeting point was Kagamiishi Station. It felt like a classic business hotel. I added breakfast, though I wish the menu had been a little better. The rice was definitely delicious, so maybe it's best not to expect too much. The biggest surprise was that they accepted PayPay. Thank you!

I ended up here for a work trip after the hotels around Shin-Shirakawa were all booked. The family-run feel made the place homey, and the breakfast was healthy and tasty. It's definitely an older hotel, and the building and facilities show their age. People used to modern business hotels will probably be surprised. Still, it was quiet, I slept well, and it was perfectly adequate for me as long as I could overlook the minor details.
