Up on the mountain, it’s a fun drive getting here. A nice place to unwind with the family.

Really nice.

We spent Friday through Saturday here, one night in total. Dinner was a highlight: the drinks were all-you-can-drink, with draft beer, sake, shochu, chuhai, highballs, wine, sparkling wine, and soft drinks. There was plenty to go with them, and the appetizers and gently seasoned boiled fish were delicious. We chose the local menu, including Kamikawa Town koshihikari rice cooked in a pot with a lovely snow crab broth. The Mineyama Plateau pudding was dessert. The children's meal was especially lavish, with ketchup rice, hamburger steak, potato salad, roast beef, salad, salmon terrine, little side dishes, a big serving of fried shrimp, pork steak, and onion soup. Breakfast is a buffet with lots of Japanese dishes and fewer Western choices. It didn't match dinner for me. The curry was a little spicy for children, I think. There were clam chowder, corn soup, and miso soup. The local eggs were rich, and I ate one raw over rice. The homemade tofu was good too. The open-air bath was a lovely spot to look at the stars, and the indoor bath was relaxing after a tiring day. I'd happily use the baths again. Thanks for the hospitality. There's also a server in the accommodation building with coffee, tea, and hot water available around the clock, which I appreciated. For parking, you can use the spaces in front of the hotel. If they're full, look for a spot marked “guests only” with a red safety cone in the first lot. Hotel-front spaces may open in the evening once guests return from skiing and other activities, so you could move your car then if the timing works. Parking is free for two days when you bring the ticket from the ski resort gate to check-in. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM, but they'll keep your luggage while you go skiing. You can change in the bathhouse changing room before or after your stay.
