Everything was clearly labeled, so it was easy to settle in, and the place was always clean with really comfortable bedding. It has the cozy feel of a family home. The location is great for nearby sights, streets, and parks, and the main train station is within walking distance. The house is so quiet that loud footsteps carry, so please be considerate of the other guests late at night. The host is easy to reach by text and simple to communicate with. My favorite Airbnb in Japan so far. Look at this beautiful mug!

They’ve put a lot of care into this simple, Japanese-style place. Kanazawa has a relaxed feel, and the accommodation fits right in.

The owner gave us a warm welcome. The bathroom was lovely, and the kitchen had all the amenities we needed. It’s a two-minute walk to Higashichaya and close to both the left and right loops of the Kanazawa sightseeing bus. Great for a couple traveling light, without big suitcases. If you have large bags, ask for a first-floor room because the stairs are steep.

The room was comfortable, though I would have liked a softer futon. The narrow, steep stairs were manageable for us, but getting a large suitcase upstairs would be difficult. The location is good, the owner is nice, and the bathroom and kitchen are a plus. The hostess Noto was very kind. She speaks only a little English, but it was enough.

The price includes a delicious breakfast, plus complimentary tea and sake. Miss Noto was a great hostess and spoke good English. She even kindly ordered us a taxi while we packed up. The room was clean and ready for us, and the location was great. The reviews we found online didn’t disappoint. Anyone staying in Kanazawa should book this guesthouse!
